Takeaway.com, officially Takeaway.com N.V., and created originally under its Dutch name Thuisbezorgd.nl, is a Dutch dot-com company specialised in online food ordering and home delivery. Takeaway.com is an intermediary online portal between the customer and the restaurants, where customers can order food online from restaurants' menus, and have it delivered by the restaurants directly to their home.

History
Jitse Groen created the website after finding out how hard it was to find local restaurant menus online.
- 2000: launch of the website Thuisbezorgd.nl
- 2008: the company expands to Belgium (Pizza.be) and Germany (Lieferservice.de)
- 2010: the business changes its international name from Thuisbezorgd.nl to Takeaway.com
- 2011: the websites are redesigned, featuring a new logo
- 2012: Takeaway.com receives an investment of EUR13 million from Prime Ventures - a venture capital and growth equity firm; Takeaway.com is launched in the United Kingdom under the same name
- 2013: began accepting Bitcoin in November 2013.
- 2014: Takeaway.com receive another investment of EUR74 million in a series B-round led by Macquarie Capital and Prime Ventures. They also launch their new logo in all of their countries
- 2016: Takeaway.com raises EUR328 million from their IPO, valuing the company at EUR993 million.
- 2016: ends business in the UK in August, selling its customer portfolio to rival Just-Eat
- 2017: Pizza.be rebrands to Takeaway.com in Belgium
- 2018: Acquires local Bulgarian startup BGmenu.com
In 2012, The organisation was market leader in the Netherlands (market share of 90%) and Belgium (70%). The website handles over 800,000 orders per month for 10,000 restaurants. Takeaway.com charges 12% of commission per order for the restaurant and will increase it to 13% from January 1, 2018.
